EXCERPTS FROM THE MINUTES OF THE SUPREME
STUDENT GOVERNMENT MEETING

Time started 4:42 pm
Venue: SSG Office

All SSG Officers were present except for the Treasurer, Luzel, 3rd Year Rep., Sharny, and 1st Year Rep., Morris. The meeting started with a prayer led by the President, Zarah Mae L. Rovero. The Secretary checked the attendance. Zarah served as the presiding officer for the said meeting.

The presiding officer presented the following agenda:

1. SSG Membership Fee

1.1 The SSG will synchronize its collection of the SSG membership fee with the PTA’s collection of its respective membership fee.
1.2 It was unanimously agreed that a P25.00 increase will be implemented therefore making the SSG fee rise from P50.00 to P75.00.

2. Activities that the SSG needs to Sponsor

* Brigada Eskewela
* Drug Prevention
* Anti-smoking Project
* Leadership Seminar
* Religious Seminar
* Sports/Cultural or Academic Program
* Tree Planting
* Income Generating Projects
* Students Welfare
* Peace and Order
* Community and Outreach Program
2.2 It was agreed that the four activities (namely: Drug Prevention, Anti-smoking Project, Leadership Seminar, Religious Seminar) will be combined into one seminar on March 6-8, 2008.
2.3 The SSG will combine with the YESO for the Tree Planting Activity.

3. SSG Leadership Camp

3.1 Regional SSG Officers Camp
3.1.1 The presiding officer announced to the body that the Regional SSG Officers Camp will take place at the Iloilo National High School from October 28-31.
3.1.2 The SSC of the West Visayas State University will be the speakers/trainors for the said camp.
3.2. National Leadership Training
3.2.1 The National Leadership Training will be held during September 2008 at Baguio City.
3.2.2 The registration fee for the said leadership training is P4,500.

RESOLUTION NO. 2

Resolution indicating the penalty for students failing to return any SSG-owned sports equipment on time.”

WHEREAS, the said resolution will allow the SSG to impose and collect a penalty of P20.00 per day of late return for any sports equipment borrowed from the SSG thru the SSG Auditor, Lorraine U. Villaruel.

Now therefore, on the motion of the SSG President, Zarah Mae L. Rovero duly seconded by all the officers be it resolved;

Resolved, as it is hereby resolved for a penalty of P20.00 per day of late return for any sports equipment borrowed from the SSG thru the SSG Auditor, Lorraine U. Villaruel.

PRESIDENTSHELD AT THE PYTHAGORAS ROOM




RESOLUTION NO. 1

Resolution indicating the penalty for students failing to sign their log-in/log-out attendance during any official SSG activity.”


WHEREAS, the said resolution will allow the SSG to impose and collect a penalty of P50.00 per unsigned log-in/log-out for students failing to sign their attendance during an official SSG activity.

WHEREAS, students can only be excused from the penalty if he or she presents a valid reason secured by an excuse letter.

Now therefore, on the motion of the SSG President, Zarah Mae L. Rovero duly seconded by all the officers be it resolved;

Resolved, as it is hereby resolved for a penalty of P50.00 per unsigned log-in/log-out to be fined to students failing to sign their attendance during an official SSG activity except if the student can present a valid reason secured by an excuse letter.

Minutes of July 18

EXCERPTS FROM THE MINUTES OF THE SUPREME
STUDENT GOVERNMENT MEETING

Time started 2:25 pm
Venue: SSG Office


SSG President and Secretary are present as well as all the Homeroom Presidents of the 4th Year Classes. Nobody was absent. The meeting started with a prayer led by the President, Zarah Mae L. Rovero. Zarah served as the presiding officer for the said meeting.

The presiding officer presented the following agenda:

1. Acquaintance Program

1.1 Tentative date is on August 18, 2008 according to the proposed schedule of activities for the current school year.

1.2 Practice
1.2.1 Practice should not interfere with classes. For school days, allowed time for practice is during lunch break from 12:30 to 1:00 pm and after classes not later than 6:00 pm.
1.2.2 Weekend practices are allowed during Saturdays from 8:00 to 5:00 pm granting that the Big Bros and Sis have secured a parental consent from their small bros and sis and that they have an adviser with them either from the fourth year or first year.
1.2.2.1 The SSG Secretary will make a parental consent that will then be given to the big bros and sis. It is then the responsibility of the big bros and sis to reproduce, disseminate, collect and secure the consent for them to practice on a Saturday.
1.2.2.2 Practices for acquaintance can start immediately on Monday, July 21, 2008.
1.2.2.3 Practices on a Saturday are allowed outside of the school premises.
1.2.3 Do’s and Don’ts
1.2.3.1 Allowed lifting is up to sitting on the shoulders. No liftings and/or exhibitions are allowed up to that level.

All SSG officers were present except for the Treasurer, Luzel Mytchz C. Casidsid and P.I.O Jude Edsel R. Tordecillas. The meeting started with a prayer led by the President, Zarah Mae L. Rovero. Zarah served as the presiding officer for the said meeting.

The presiding officer presented the following agenda:

1. Election of 1st Year Representative
2. Draw lots for Big Bros and Sis

1. Election of 1st Year Representatives

1.1 Room to room campaign will be held on July 17, 2005 at exactly 1:00 pm in the afternoon. Campaign speech will start at section Pythagoras.
1.2 Committees
1.2.1 The Campaign Committee is headed by Zarah. All SSG officers will serve as members.
1.2.2 The members of the Canvassing Committee are Zarah and Luzel.
1.2.3 Documentation will be taken cared of by the Zarah.
1.2.4 Watchers and Tabulators
1.2.4.1 Section Pythagoras – Liane and Jude
1.2.4.2 Section Diophantus – Francha and Mia
1.2.4.3 Section Gauss – Thea and Sharny
1.2.4.4 Section Mendeleeve – Lorraine and Raki
1.2.5 Members of the discipline and order committee are Jude and Francha.
1.2.6 Luzel will take charge of the refreshments to be given to the SSG officers, adviser, and to the teachers who served as the board of canvassers.
1.2.7 Zarah, SSG President, will be the overall chairman for the said election.
1.4 During the Election
1.4.1 Students should sign the attendance sheet first before they are given the official ballot.
1.4.2 Voters should observe the one seat apart rule when voting.
1.4.3 There should be 10 voters at a time, other students should be outside the room unless their turn comes.

1.4 During the Campaign
1.4.1 A time limit of 3-5 minutes will be given for each candidate to deliver his/her speech per classroom.
1.5 Deadline for filing of the Certificate of Candidacy and Individual Profile will be on July 16, 2008.
1.6 Election will be on July 18, 2008 from 8:00 to 9:00 in the morning.

2. Election of Homeroom Officers

2.1 Schedule for the election of homeroom officers will be on July 18, 2008 from 10:00 to 11:00 in the morning.
2.2 The SSG Secretary should prepare an official form for the line-up of homeroom officers.

3. Schedule of Activities for the School Year 2008-2009

• CAT officers will be requested to aid the SSG officers in strictly monitoring the attendance of the students.
• Attendance will be required from each section on July 18, 2008. Since it is a regular class day, students coming after 7:30 will be considered late.
• A one hour waiting time will be implemented for the submission of attendance sheets.
• Official attendance sheet will be taken cared of by Zarah.
• After the election of the homeroom officers, cleaning of rooms will automatically follow.
• Students will be released between 4:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon.
