EXCERPTS FROM THE MINUTES OF THE SUPREME
STUDENT GOVERNMENT MEETING

Time started 12:30 pm
Venue: SSG Office

All SSG officers were present except for the President, Zarah Mae L. Rovero who is currently attending on an official SSG business. The meeting started with a prayer led by the SSG Adviser, Mrs. Ruby Agnes B. Estrada. Ma’am Estrada served as the presiding officer for the said meeting.

The presiding officer presented the following agenda:

1. School Level Rizal Quiz Bee to be sponsored by the SSG
2. SSG T-shirt
3. Sportsfest

1. School Level Rizal Quiz Bee to be sponsored by the SSG
1.1 Date will be moved from September 8 to September 9, 2008 due to conflicts in school schedule.
1.2 Committees
1.2.1 Program committee will be handled by Liane.
1.2.2 For the scoreboard, Frances Anthea and Lorraine will take charge.
1.2.3 Hall Arrangements by Jude and Morris
1.2.4 For the awards, medals will be care of Luzel while the certificates for Liane.
1.2.5 Cleanliness committee will be handled by all the SSG Officers.
1.2.6 Luzel will take charge of the streamer
1.2.7 Sharny will handle the documentation
1.2.8 Refreshments will be taken cared of by Mia
1.2.9 Peace and order will be taken cared of by Francha

2. SSG T-shirt
2.1 Suggestion for T-shirt quotation is still open

3. Sportsfest – The SSG will take charge only of the Opening and Closing program as well as the Search for Mr. and Ms. Acquaintance. All games would be the responsibility of the MAPEH Club. On the Awarding ceremony, the SSG will tie-up with the MAPEH Club.
3.1 Fixed date is on October 8-11 and awarding ceremonies will be on October 13, Monday.
3.2 The opening program will be on October 9 to be started with a parade. The opening program will hold the cheerdance and dance sports competition. Cultural contest to be sponsored by the English club will be on the afternoon.
3.3 Search for Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest will be on October 11 in the afternoon.
3.3.1 Maximim of 2 pairs per year level.
3.4 Games for the Sportsfest will be held on the Godofredo P. Ramos Park with the exception of the laro ng lahi to be held on the school.
3.5 Attendance during the Sportsfest will be taken cared of by the SSG.
3.6 Cheerdance
3.6.1 There should be 40-60 members per year level contestant.
3.6.2 A time limit of 15-20 minutes will be allotted per year level group. The SSG will strictly impose this guideline.
3.6.3 It was agreed that the expense for the costume and props to be paid by individual cheerdances will be from P350 – P400.
3.6.4 Each year level will be allowed to collect contributions from students amounting to no more than P80.
3.7 Dance Sports - Maximum of three pairs per category per year level.
3.8 Screening and Practices – Screening and practices are now allowed to all year levels granting that there will be NO DISRUPTION OF CLASSES. Therefore, screening and practices are only allowed during lunchbreak, after classes or on Saturdays. Sunday screening and practices are strictly prohibited.

EXCERPTS FROM THE MINUTES OF THE SUPREME
STUDENT GOVERNMENT MEETING

Time started 10:15 am
Venue: Pythagoras Room

The meeting started with a prayer led by the President, Zarah Mae L. Rovero. Zarah served as the presiding officer for the said meeting.

The presiding officer presented the following agenda:

1. Acquaintance Party 2008
1.1 The fixed date is on August 22, 2008 at the ABL Sports Complex

1.2 Schedule of Final Practice
1.2.1 August 19 – whole morning
August 20 – whole afternoon
August 21 – whole day (general rehearsal)
Note: AM – school
PM - runthrough

1.3 Cheerdance Proper
1.3.1. The duration for a cheerdance entry is exactly 10 to 15 minutes with introduction included.
1.3.2 Penalty for overtime is a one (1) point deduction for every 1 minute exceeded.
1.3.3. Costume
1.3.3.1 MAPEH shirt should be utilized by the 1st year as part of their cheerdance costume.
1.3.3.1 The costume contribution limit is P200.00. Classhome presidents should prepare a financial statement accounting their overall expenses for the Cheerdance presentation.
1.3.4 Do’s and Don’ts
1.3.4.1 Allowed lifting is up to sitting on the shoulders. No liftings and/or exhibitions are allowed up to that level.
1.3.4.2. Strictly no risky exhibitions will be allowed.
1.3.4.3 No outide trainors are allowed. Only the Fourth year students are allowed to teach for the cheerdance presentation.
1.3.4.4. A deduction of five (5) points will be implemented for any group who commits any of the violations listed above.
1.3.5 Their would be a Best in Cheerdance Award. Note: a group should have commited no violation to gain the award.

1.4 Search for Mr. and Ms. Acquiantance
1.4.1 Their should be at least 1 to 2 pairs of candidates for every 1st year section. Failing to do so, the said section together with their respective big bros and sis should pay the penalty of P500.00.
1.4.2 Deadline for submission of candidates will be on August 4, 2008.
1.4.3 Schedule of Canvassing
1st canvassing – August 8, 2008
2nd canvassing – August 15, 2008
3rd canvassing – August 22, 2008

Note: Candidates for the search have the option whether or not they would still join the cheerdance presentation.

1.5 Sing-A-Like Contest
1.5.1 The sing-a-like contest is only a group contest with members from 5 – 10 respectively (back-up included).
1.5.2 The theme for this year’s sing-a-like contest will be music during the 90’s.
1.5.3 Time limit for the presentation is 5-10 minutes. A penalty of one (1) point per minute exceeded will be deducted to the group’s score.
1.5.4 There would be a popularity contest.

2. Joint Induction of Officers
2.1 What to Wear: non-officers (students) should wear their respective MAPEH Uniform. For the Officers, they are expected to wear their org/club shirt or if not present, then school uniform.

Break at 12:00 noon. Meeting resumed at 1:00pm the same day.

3. Resolutions
3.1 Students failing to sign the log-in/log-out during an official SSG activity would pay a fee of P50.00 per unsigned log-in/log-out except if supported by valid reason secured by an excuse letter.
3.2 A penalty of P20.00 per day will be collected from students failing to return any SSG-owned sports equipment on due time.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT MEETING

All SSG Officers were present except for the Treasurer, Luzel, 3rd Year Rep., Sharny, and 1st Year Rep., Morris. The meeting started with a prayer led by the President, Zarah Mae L. Rovero. The Secretary checked the attendance. Zarah served as the presiding officer for the said meeting.

The presiding officer presented the following agenda:

1. SSG Membership Fee

1.1 The SSG will synchronize its collection of the SSG membership fee with the PTA’s collection of its respective membership fee.
1.2 It was unanimously agreed that a P25.00 increase will be implemented therefore making the SSG fee rise from P50.00 to P75.00.

2. Activities that the SSG needs to Sponsor

* Brigada Eskewela
* Drug Prevention
* Anti-smoking Project
* Leadership Seminar
* Religious Seminar
* Sports/Cultural or Academic Program
* Tree Planting
* Income Generating Projects
* Students Welfare
* Peace and Order
* Community and Outreach Program
2.2 It was agreed that the four activities (namely: Drug Prevention, Anti-smoking Project, Leadership Seminar, Religious Seminar) will be combined into one seminar on March 6-8, 2008.
2.3 The SSG will combine with the YESO for the Tree Planting Activity.

3. SSG Leadership Camp

3.1 Regional SSG Officers Camp
3.1.1 The presiding officer announced to the body that the Regional SSG Officers Camp will take place at the Iloilo National High School from October 28-31.
3.1.2 The SSC of the West Visayas State University will be the speakers/trainors for the said camp.
3.2. National Leadership Training
3.2.1 The National Leadership Training will be held during September 2008 at Baguio City.
3.2.2 The registration fee for the said leadership training is P4,500.

Resolution indicating the penalty for students failing to return any SSG-owned sports equipment on time.”

WHEREAS, the said resolution will allow the SSG to impose and collect a penalty of P20.00 per day of late return for any sports equipment borrowed from the SSG thru the SSG Auditor, Lorraine U. Villaruel.

Now therefore, on the motion of the SSG President, Zarah Mae L. Rovero duly seconded by all the officers be it resolved;

Resolved, as it is hereby resolved for a penalty of P20.00 per day of late return for any sports equipment borrowed from the SSG thru the SSG Auditor, Lorraine U. Villaruel.

RESOLUTION NO. 1

Resolution indicating the penalty for students failing to sign their log-in/log-out attendance during any official SSG activity.”


WHEREAS, the said resolution will allow the SSG to impose and collect a penalty of P50.00 per unsigned log-in/log-out for students failing to sign their attendance during an official SSG activity.

WHEREAS, students can only be excused from the penalty if he or she presents a valid reason secured by an excuse letter.

Now therefore, on the motion of the SSG President, Zarah Mae L. Rovero duly seconded by all the officers be it resolved;

Resolved, as it is hereby resolved for a penalty of P50.00 per unsigned log-in/log-out to be fined to students failing to sign their attendance during an official SSG activity except if the student can present a valid reason secured by an excuse letter.
